Smart Choices, Informed Investments
IFF’s approach to sustainability is grounded in the belief that nonprofits benefit from making smart choices and informed investments related to energy efficiency, resource conservation, and healthy indoor environments.
“Smart choices” come at low or no cost, such as opting for compact florescent bulbs (CFLs) instead of standard incandescent light bulbs.
“Informed investments” cost more up front, such as improved heating and cooling systems or better insulation, but pay for themselves over time due to energy savings realized over the life of the technology.
